Our Zimbabwe Vision Trip dates have been released! This trip, in conjunction with Foundation for Farming’s annual Champs Conference, will be March 7-14, 2016. This will be a time to enjoy deep fellowship, the sharing of vision, and an opportunity to partner with us as we serve the poor, not only in Africa, but across the World.
Poverty can be reversed, and God has the answer. Faithful stewardship. He has given Foundations for Farming a simple agricultural teaching that frees the poor from dependency on man – and enables them to give to others! What God began in Africa, He is taking throughout the world, and we have the honor of being a part of it. It is our privilege to share this vision with you!
What will you experience in Zimbabwe? Catch a glimpse from Hugh Chichester and his short month stay at the training center.
Another young person to be adopted into the Foundations for Farming family recently was Hugh Chichester. The photos below were taken as the team prayed for him before his return flight to London. Here’s what he wrote after getting home:
As the clock ran out on my month in Zimbabwe with Foundations for Farming, I couldn’t believe how fast it had gone. It’s very rare that one can visit such a foreign part of the world and yet be made to feel so welcome. FfF portrays a beautiful depiction of God’s family, accepting people for who they are and where they’re from, and forming genuine and meaningful relationships with anyone and everyone who crosses their path.
They also have a level of joy that is unparalleled in most of the places I have visited in my lifetime. Never have I seen people laugh and smile quite as often as I did during my time at Clouds End. In a world where material excess is so often paralleled with ungratefulness, it was humbling to see people living in a state of such material scarcity and instability and yet so filled with thankfulness; they are living manifestations of Paul’s charge in Philippians 4:4 to choose joy and celebration in every circumstance.
I leave with deeper understanding of God’s character and a greater desire to hold fast to His precepts in order that my path might be made straight for the good of those whom I’ve been called to serve. I know I will always be welcomed with open arms by my Zimbabwean family at Foundations for Farming, and I’ll always remember the hospitality and the acceptance that they showed me.
Hugh
We ask that you prayerfully consider getting your boots in the dirt and joining us in Zimbabwe this March!
