Trip Itinerary
Day 1: March 1
Champs Conference
Catch the vision: Enjoy deep fellowship, hear reports from local and overseas Foundations for Farming stations, and be inspired by the testimonies of I Was Hungry training graduates.
Day 2: March 2
Champs Conference
During the conference you will also receive an mini-course in conservation agriculture through soil demonstrations, garden plot tours, and compost making.
Day 3: March 3
Champs Conference and Model Farms Tour
After lunch, you will visit the farms of two “Gogos,” or Grandmothers, and tour a women’s Co-Op.
Day 4: March 4
I Was Hungry Village Visits
Walk with I Was Hungry graduates through their villages. Meet their families, tour their homes and inspect their field plots. Hear from the neighbors how their example is impacting the community.
Days 5-7: March 5-7
Lake Kariba Houseboat Safari
This weekend retreat is all about fellowship and enjoying God’s beautiful creation in the African bush. Wake up to see an elephant outside your window, hippos in the water, and crocodiles along the river bank.
Day 8: March 8
Return to FFF and Farewell BBQ
Make the journey back to Harare and enjoy a final dinner, traditional Zimbabwean “Braai” or Barbecue, with the Foundations for Farming Staff.
